A pesar de que tuve que apartar el libro de mi en varias ocasiones, por las lágrimas que me hizo derramar, es una novela excelente, que te enseña a meditar que en muchas ocasiones de la vida, no se trata de lo que tu quieres sino de respetar en silencio las decisiones de los demas. Que nunca es tarde para ir por tus sueños y que indudablemente la fuerza del amor tiene el poder para hacerte sonreír y soñar, aún en los peores días.

He de reconocer que no esperaba mucho de esta historia, pero me alegra haber descubierto a esta autora al través de una novela tan emotiva, sencilla y cuyos personajes amé. Es un libro que termina y se queda rondando en la mente de diversas maneras. Trata un tema intenso matizado con la frescura de la protagonista que me pareció muy atinada. Lo recomiendo ampliamente, yo buscaré más historias de Jojo Moyes.

La escritora es muy descriptiva, me encanto los detalles como describió el jardín de la Sra. Traynor, me hizo sentir las sensaciones cuando Will y Lou se rozaban la piel, fue casi como si me estuviera sucediendo a mi. Definitivo, un libro que volveré a leer antes de ver la película.

Ya yo había leído la versión en inglés pero quise comprarlo como un regalo a mi madre. Quise hacerlo porque ya ella había visto la película pero había detalles que no se habían traducido al filme. De más está decir que prácticamente lo devoró. Me expresó que estaba muy feliz con el libro. Es una historia de amor no convencional, los personajes principales están bien desarrollados y en general es un buen libro. La entrega se hizo a tiempo y el libro llegó en perfecto estado. Recomendado 100%

Es una historia bonita, si, pero tiene algunas fallas. La prosa de la autora en ocasiones falla. Hay varios personajes de relleno y algunos capítulos de más. Eso de utilizar varios puntos de vista a parte del de la protagonista quedó fatal. Le hizo falta más credibilidad y pulcritud.a esa parte.

Una historia de amor poco común, la historia está bien desarrollada de princio a fin, muy recomendado este libro.Es una lástima que la autora sacara continuación, arruinó el personaje principal.

Please remember to check your child's computer access. This was a very complete book and I agree with other reviewers that it is a good source of information... however my child google terms shortly after reading this book, and I did not realize that my safety settings do not block google images. :( Not too much harm done (I think!), but thought I should warn other parents... I explained to my child that computers save browsing history so people can see what others have searched/looked at, that there is inappropriate and harmful content online, that computers can get viruses or other issues when inappropriate links are opened, etc. But first I did freak out (while trying not to show it), so I hope this helps other parents! Also, if anyone has comments on this for how to handle, I would appreciate any suggestions (can you reply to a review? hmmm), thanks!

Please note that this book does not hold back when talking about sex nor does it hold back with its pictures. You need to decide your comfort levels about sex and what you feel is appropriate for your children.I found this book to be very informative and written at a level for preadolescent kids to be able to easily understand. It's laid out with illustrations and small comics in a way to help keep their attention. It does show naked bodies, genitalia , people having intercourse, and so forth. It covers a variety of topics that are important in today's world such as no means no, how to stay safe online, be careful what you text and email, and of course, safe sex practices.

I am amazed at how much I enjoyed this book. It's a great tasteful presentation of the human body with lots of scientific information on how babies are made all the way through childbirth. Surprisingly, it didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. It has short easy to read paragraphs, comic strips, and lots of diagrams. To me, it seems most age appropriate for ages 10-12, though every family/situation is different.*Let's be honest, what you really want to know about this book: how it defines sex!! So here it is: "When a woman and a man want to make a baby, they hug, and cuddle and kiss and feel very loving, and get very close to each other - so close that the man's penis goes inside the woman's vagina. When this happens, it is called "sexual intercourse."" No technical diagrams, just a picture of a man and women in bed kissing under a blanket with hearts in the air. It also very tastefully covers homosexuality in terms of love, and briefly touches on masturbation: "touching or rubbing the private parts of your own body because it feels good is called masturbation...every family has its own thoughts and feelings about masturbation. Some people and some religions think it's wrong to masturbate... most doctors agree that masturbation is perfectly healthy and normal - and cannot hurt your body."Hope this helps you decide if this is the right book for you!

So, for other moms/dads out there needing to have "the talk" with their child, I highly recommend this book as a guide. I'm a nurse, so i can talk alllll about anatomy and processes, but i wanted something with pictures i could use to facilitate that would be better than what i could draw and not so real that she'd be grossed out. I bought this book over a year ago waiting for the moment I'd need it. Well, today, it was finally time to address some of my 9yr old daughter's questions. What i like about this book is that it's worded so well that a child could potentially read it on their own, although i recommend reading together. We read through the first half together, saving the growth of a baby in utero for another time. I would summarize/ elaborate sometimes and answer any questions that came up, but to honest, this pretty much answered her questions. Plus, some of it is written in "comic book" style, which she loves reading and kept her attention. It even has a chapter on good touch, bad touch. We did read through the parts that discussed homosexuality and masturbation. I feel like it's important for her to understand. I also used those parts as a way to discuss how others may feel about those topics. It is a lot of information and I am sure she isn't going to remember it all, but I told her where I would keep it if she ever wants to refer back to it. Great tool!
